The University of Peradeniya has a well-established Staff Development Centre, which is administered by a Director supported by a Management Assistant, a Technical Officer, and an Office Assistant. The center provides the training and development needs of academic and non-academic staff members. With the implementation of the ENACT project which is co-funded through the European Commission, the approval of the Governing Council of the University of Peradeniya was obtained for the establishment of the Non-academic Staff Development Cell (NSDC) under the umbrella of the Staff Development Center which exclusively focuses on the training of non-academic staff. The Governing Council at its’ 501^st meeting held on 14.02.2021 approved the establishment of a Non-academic Staff Development Cell at the University of Peradeniya to create a sustainable university structure to support the professional development of non-academic staff, integrating them into the overall development and growth strategy of Sri Lankan Universities. Continuous training will be provided through the NSDC.
